FOX’S X-Men TV Series Finally Gets A Pilot Order

Courtesy of Variety: FOX’s X-Men series has officially received a pilot order. The authentic description of the pilot is  “ (It) will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.”

Burn Notice creator Matt Nix will write the pilot and executive produce. Alongside Nix  will be other X-Men alumni: Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Simon Kinsberg, serving as co-executive producers. Depending on whether this unnamed series actually makes it past the pilot and is given a season order, it will join FX’s near-debut series “Legion“, which premieres February, 8, 2017.
